Biography

Daniel Guas is a Swedish-Argentinian pianist. Born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He studied under the tutelage of Dina Hafter and Juan Carlos Arabián. Since 2014 he studies for Professor Hans Pålsson at the Malmö Music Academy. He also took Masterclasses with Francisca Skoogh, Elsa Puppulo and the world class jazz pianist Michel Camilo.

In May 2018 he played Schumann’s Piano Concerto op. 54 in a-minor at Tivoli’s Concert Hall in Copenhagen under the Polish conductor Marzena Diakun.

Since December 2017 he also studies in Rome at Aimart with the Argentinian pianist Daniel Rivera.

In both 2016 and 2017 he’s been awarded the scholarship “Stora pianostipendiet”, which is given by Musikhögskolan i Malmö, for his work in chamber music and for lessons in Austria.

In 2018 he’s been awarded with one of Sweden’s biggest scholarships: the “John Andersson i Anderslöv”, which gives over 100.000 SEK.

Also in 2018, Daniel have gotten the scholarship from Lerici Foundation in Stockholm for summer studies in Italy, the Helge Axelsson Johnsons scholarship and again the “Stora pianostipendiet” by Musikhögskolan i Malmö.

In February 2019, Daniel has been chosen for a second time to be a soloist with the Malmö Music Academy Orchestra, and he will playing Prokofievs 3rd piano concerto during season 2019/2020.
